I was scoping out some financial aid and student loan related stuff online.
Cause, well, college can be EXPENSIVE.
I found this website talking about Private Education Loans, called acteducationloans.com.
Did you know the average college student has to pay an average of $22,000 in published tuition and fee charges at a four-year private college? Or that at Syracuse Law School an average 1L law student pays an estimated $58,510 in total expenses? Working longer hours at McDonald’s isn’t gonna pay those expenses, that’s for sure.
So that’s where student loans come in. This site also has a website about law school loans you’ll want to take a look at too. Looking at their site, it reads that their act education loans have a preliminary approval of 15 minutes so that’s pretty quick.
They have a blog too.. I found this article about what makes an independent student (important when you’re filing for financial aid). This is what they said:
An independent Student is a student who is considered independent for Federal financial aid purposes is at least one of the following:
• Over 24 years of age
• Married
• Have a dependent child who receives at least 50% of support from student
• Have a dependent person who receives at least 50% of support from student
• A veteran of the armed forces
• An orphan or ward of the court
If you answered yes to any one of the above questions you’re an independent student and you should consider how to maximize your financial aid package for as an adult student.
Interesting stuff.

It seems I need to have a cosigner for that loan. Are there other options where I don’t have to have a cosigner?
